About Me

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior at the University of Minnesota, under the supervision of Allison Shaw and John Fieberg. I am fortunate to be supported by fellowships from the Smithsonian Institution, the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the University of Minnesota (UMN).

My research focuses on developing and applying statistical and mathematical models to problems in movement ecology. During my PhD, I worked on animal movement modeling to detect unobservable disease dynamics and memory processes in animal movement. Previously, I studied statistics at the University of Minnesota, Morris where I worked on developing Bayesian hierarchical models and generalized linear mixed models (GLMMs).
